19th Anniversary of International Mountain Museum day was celebrated on 5th February 2022 at International Mountain Museum (IMM). Mr Hari Dhoj Tulachan, IMM Advisor was the chief guest of the program. Due to the pandemic of covid, the program was organized among the IMM family and locals. IMM committee members, NMA- Gandaki provience officials, IMM Staffs and representatives from local mothers group and development committee attended the program. Chief guest offered the garland to monuments of contributors of IMM, Late Harka Gurung, Dawa Norbu Sherpa and Kumar Khadga Bikram shah and hoisted the flag of IMM. The formal program of IMM anniversary was conducted at conference hall of IMM and the program was inaugurated by lightening the panas.
The program observed one-minute silent in the memory of known and unknown mountaineers demised on mountain during mountaineering. Executive Director of IMM, Ms. Nirmala Neupane delivered welcome speech and progress report on IMM was presented by IMM Committee member, Mr. Jeevan Raj Sapkota. NMA Gandaki Province President, Mr Shesh Kanta Sharma put forward his remarks about the present condition of IMM , NMA and tourism as a whole. On the same occasion, IMM staff Ms Devi Poudel (Cleaner/Gardener) was felicitated as the best staff -2021 for her continuous support and honest service rendered to IMM. 19th IMM day was concluded with the vote of thanks by the chairman of the program, IMM committee member, Hari prasad Lamichhane for their presence in the program.
The annual peace pooja was carried out early in the morning on that day.
