On the occasion of the 42nd World Tourism Day, His Excellency the Ambassadors of 11 different countries, Heads and Representatives of Diplomatic Missions, Heads and Representatives of International Development Partners have visited the International Mountain Museum(IMM) at Ratopahiro, Pokhara on 28th September 2021.
During the three-day visit, Ambassadors of the United States of America, Qatar, Finland, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Bangladesh, Egypt, Germany and Malaysia arrived in Pokhara. The Secretary General of SAARC, UN Resident Coordinator, Director of ISIMOD, Head of Mission of IOM, UNIDE Nepal Director, UNDP Resident Representatives, UNESCO Representatives and WFP Representatives were visited.
During the visit, the protocol chief of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Nepal, Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi and Deputy Chief Revati Raman Poudel were also presented.
During the visit to the museum, the ambassadors praised the heritage of Nepal's mountainous region, inquired about trekking and mountaineering, and asked about the route and time to reach the base camps of various mountains.
After the observation, during an unofficial program, the Nepal Parbat published by Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), the profile of the International Mountain Museum (IMM) and the token of love were gifted to the distinguished dignitaries.
IMM board members, advisors, NMA Gandaki Province President, office bearers, IMM ED and staff members jointly welcomed the distinguished guests at the IMM premises.
